It features tropical forest of Rizal and Quezon, scenic view of Sierra Madre Mountains, Daraitan river, glimpse of Mt.Makiling, Sembrano and Mt. Tagapo. The mountain exhibit different limestone formations that will leave you in awe. There are space for tents if you wish to stay over night. The Tinipak River is one of the cleanest free flowing river, which is surrounded by large marble rocks that are great for bouldering. It can give you the option of exploring the natural spring, pools and caves around the area - there are just some of its highlight and shouldn't be missed.

How to get there?
> Take jeepney from EDSA-Shaw to Tanay, Rizal
> From Tanay, Rizal. Take jeep to Sampaloc, Rizal
> From Sampaloc, Tanay. Take tricycle to Brgy. Daraitan
or if you're travelling in group its better to rent a private car. it will cost you less and it will save your enery jumping into one transport to another. But use a 4 wheel drive coz the way to daraitan isnt just a rap-road.
> Arrival at Daraitan River. Cross the river with raft and take trike to barangay hall or cross the hanging bridge and walk until the barangay hall.
> From Barangay Hall; Register and secure guides. (fees to be settle at the registration area - Registration fee, DENR fee and Guide fee. 550php/group)
> Now you can start trekking up to Mt. daraitan. or you can have your breakfast first before going. there are some store in the area where you can eat your breakfast or buy packed lunch.
> Your Guide will provide the itenerary for you/ your group
TIPS
Tip #1: Exercise, do your cardio, and do this days or weeks before your climb to the summit. :) Dont let your poor stamina take away the hype and excitement.
Tip #2: Wear proper footwear. I prefer rubber shoes with grips coz it can be muddy and slippery.
Tip #3:Wear long sleeves and trekking pants, dry fit will be better. or Bring a jacket or a raincoat to keep you weatherproof.
Tip #4: Bring plastic or Ziplock everything especially your gadgets.
Tip #5: Pack light dont bring unnecessary things. It will be a burden while climbing up.
Tip #6: Bring Packed lunch and water (2liters/person) you will save more..
Tip #7: Start early and follow the itinerary. Start trkking at 530Am.
Tip #8: Charge all your gadgets, specially your camera. Dont miss the opportunity of capturing the wonderful scene of ascending and descending.
Tip #9: Use GPS - Gapang Para Safe
Tip #10: Last but certainly not the least. PRAY before heading out.
